But if we didn't have to continually re purchase items that have either broken or become obsolete, how is big business supposed to make their profits?

Explain to me how a picture can become obsolete. The point of the thing is to not update it!

A picture cannot, I suppose. However it's method of storage can. Look at the last ten years or so, we've basically converted from film to digital pictures.

But these were already digital. Just how was I getting an upgrade?

Gaining more storage space could also be considered an upgrade, the expenses of which need to be paid for on a constant basis. Perhaps, that's why it expires.

You make a good arguement, I guess that's why you're a lwayer. But I'm not and I stilly say they are communists and will continue to yell that at you until you relent. That's how I roll.
